Orchids: Nature's Masterpiece

March 5, 2020 - March 29, 2020
Atrium Gallery

Orchids: Nature’s Masterpiece transforms Studios into tropical rainforest filled with fragrant, blooming orchids and artistic interpretations of their beauty and allure. Evocative scents, bold coloration and subtle forms of nature are captured in oil, watercolor, acrylics, colored pencil, ceramic, glass and other media. Featured artists each present unique expressions, from precise renderings of botanical illustrations to bold interpretations in impressionistic paintings and everything in between. Visitors are encouraged to appreciate how this exotic flowering plant can be both a source of artistic inspiration and a work of art in and of itself.

Accompanying the exhibition are several special programs of interest to artists, photographers, conservationists and gardeners. A children’s program is planned to blend orchids and art in a fun hands-on approach to creating orchid themed art for children.
