Art With Anna

Artisan children's educator Anna Meyrick continues with her series of dynamic art classes for young artists. Each week she presents different projects, encouraging and supporting students as they learn, experiment, and create! Students must preregister. $20-25. Scholarships are available by request.

September 21: Fox Mask
In this class students create a clever fox mask out of felt. Skills developed include following a pattern and assembly. $25.

September 28: Ceramics-Panda Bear Planter
Join Anna for her monthly ceramics class and create an extra special project: a cute panda planter! Students have the opportunity to handbuild with clay and glaze work from the previous class. New students are welcome and may join any month! $25.


Teen Art Class

Teen artists of all ages and interest are invited to come to Studios on the Park to learn from professional artist Anna Meyrick. Each of the four classes in a session has a different focus: ceramics, drawing, painting, and mixed media. More by request. $100/session.

Art With Anna for Homeschoolers - Ceramics Handbuilding & Surface Design

Artisan children's educator Anna Meyrick offers a month of hand building ceramics for young artists. Create with clay for three weeks and glaze work the final week. Students must preregister. Cost is $125 for the month. 


Drawing Lab for Kids

Ages 4–6: 9 am - 10 am
The class provides an introduction into representational drawing and recognition of 5 basic elements of shape. Combining the elements, students will create drawings of animal babies, insects and dinosaurs. $80 per session includes all materials

Ages 7-8: 10 am - 11:30 am
A representational drawing class that starts with basics and progresses to jungle animals and peoples of the world. $80 per session includes all materials

Age 9+: 12 pm - 2 pm*
After learning the basics, students will use different mediums, such as graphite, pastels, colored pencils & watercolor to draw people, places, & perspective with emphasis on techniques & creative approach. $100 per session includes all materials. *Time flexible depending on class size, check with instructor please.

Single class drop-in-rate: $25 includes all materials


Mini Gingerbread House Class

Bring your kids out to learn the art of cookie decorating from Arty McGoo! This session of Arty's Workshop is especially for the kids with a fun festive feel! Arty will be teaching them to build and decorate their own mini-gingerbread houses that cookies that bring the look, feel and taste of the holidays into the home. So go get some holiday shopping done or visit friends while the kids do something fun and productive. They will leave with new skills, new friends, and an adorable mini-gingerbread house! Cost: $50; all supplies and decorations will be provided for use during the class.

Schedule a private lesson with Anna Meyrick in her studio. Get one-on-one attention in the medium of your choice. Some students work better one on one. Anna has 30 years experience working with children and knows how to engage students that are shy, have anxiety issues, learning disabilities or just prefer a one-on-one setting. Anna specializes in creating custom lessons in drawing, painting, printmaking, fiber arts, ceramics, collage, mosaics, digital art, pinhole cameras, desktop publishing, sculpture and seasonal projects. All art lessons can be tied to state educational benchmarks for homeschooling purposes. Price varies.


Kids Art Smart
