Slab Bowl Clay Class for Kids with Peggy Vrana of Earthsea Pottery
July 21: 9:30 am - 11:30 am
Kids ages 6 to 10 learn to press and roll out a slab of clay, texture the surface with a variety of cool tools and found objects, shape the clay slab into a bow, and attach clay legs onto the bottom. Each student selects a glaze color of their choice and instructor Peggy Vrana glazes and fires the bowls in her Cambria studio. Finished pieces will be available for pick up in early August. The $38 class price includes materials and firings.
Relief Printmaking Class with Helen K Davie

Learn how to make your own unique cards! Printmaker Helen K Davie will be offering a relief printing class for teens and adults. The basics of printmaking will be covered including how to transfer the design to the linoleum, use the carving tools, inking the block and printing with the baren, spoon, or press. Some principles of registration will also be covered so that multiple color images can be printed.

Artists Re-Imagining Color (ARC) is an active community of teens and young adults who lead and participate in a broad range of private and public arts projects. Often these activities involve artists associated with Studios on the Park, as well as members of the broader Paso Robles community.
ARC meets weekly on Saturday afternoons to pursue creative projects of the group's choosing. Through these projects Studios on the Park aims to support positive youth civic engagement and arts education. Artist and Studios board member Henry A. J. Ramos serves as advisor.
Two-Day Encaustic Monotype Printing Workshop with Heidi Franscioni

This workshop with artist Heidi Franscioni focuses on printing on paper with pigmented beeswax. One-of-a-kind prints are created using simple mark making with pigment bars, brushes, silicone subtractive tools, wooden print blocks, and stencils.
15th Open Exhibition of the International Society of Acrylic Painters

This International Exhibition is open to artists working in the acrylic medium on any surface. ISAP entrants and members have a significant reputation in the art collecting community. The overall scope of the Society is very diverse, and represents a wide range of subject matter and styles.
