Woodland Fairy Cuff Copper Electroforming for Artists and Mad Scientists with Terry Henry

August 11 9:00 am - 4:30 pm

Interested in the newest trend in copper jewelry? Come join artist and instructor Terry Henry and turn found objects into copper. Explore the endless possibilities of copper electroforming in an easy to understand format. In this class students make a customized copper bangle cuff using electroformed flowers, stamped brass charms, dichroic glass gems, and cubic zirconia gems. Each cuff is a custom fit. Techniques for setting gems are taught. Skills covered include basic electroforming, texturing and gem setting along with gluing techniques. Class breaks twice during the day to provide time for bonding and drying. Projects need to process 24-48 hours for proper copper deposition so students need to return to the classroom Monday evening to clean and pick up projects unless other arrangements have been made. 3 student minimum, 10 student maximum. $95 plus $75 kit. Kit includes heavy copper bangle, electroformed flower, dichroic glass cabochons, glass micro-beads, 6mm and 3mm CZ’s, Victorian stamped brass charms, copper wire, conductive paint, injection wax, glue, sealed organic material, tutorial containing detailed instructions, resources and photographs, and use of electroforming and buffing equipment and chemicals. Additional required items students should bring: magnifying glasses or readers, pliers (round nose, chain nose, etc), lush cutters. Click here for more information or to sign up.
